per diem means is convenient but it does have its disadvantages. The major disadvantage is that the flat rate will not cover the actual expenses, especially in the high cost areas. If employees, they end up paying out of pocket too. Outside steady work, there may be little benefit and a lot of uncertainty in the income of per diem work, especially without full time benefits. Employers also may limit or set rule so employers could get qualifying per diem. If not counted as regular income, it may become your last impactamington loan approvals or financial planning.
