The earliest images of the mother goddess were at Çatalhöyük. A sculpture of the Great Goddess comes across in the enthroned Queen Mother with her leopards as armrest. The leopards bespeak her authority - a woman who, gently through her magical will alone, is in the act of subduing a lion or leopard.
The Anatolian Mother Goddess wears a Beehive styled tiara. The Beehive inspired motif was popular in earliest society and confirmed the Goddesses exalted status as a Queen Bee who ‘streams with honey’.
