The Institute for Healthcare Optimization (IHO) is a nonprofit organization dedicated to improving the efficiency, quality, and accessibility of healthcare delivery through the application of operations management science. Founded in 2009 by Dr. Eugene Litvak, IHO emerged from the Program for the Management of Variability in Health Care Delivery at Boston University. The organization works closely with hospitals, health systems, and government agencies to reduce operational variability, enhance patient flow, and optimize resource utilization without compromising the quality of care.
