The Concussion in Sports Program was launched in Western Australia to raise awareness about the short- and long-term impacts of concussions, particularly among athletes in high-contact sports. With the popularity of Australian rules football, rugby, and similar activities in WA, understanding concussion symptoms and proper management is essential. This program aims to educate players, coaches, and communities about the signs of head trauma and the importance of early intervention. Since its inception, our primary goal has been to reduce the occurrence of concussion-related injuries and ensure athletes receive timely, appropriate care. By promoting knowledge and safety, we’re helping to protect the health and careers of sportspeople across the state.
